THANKS AND CONGRATULATIONS TO READ TO FEED READERS!

Ms. Brenna, Ms. Teresa, and Mr. Thomas send a warm thanks to all of the kids who participated in our first Read to Feed program. We raised just over $360 dollars for Heifer International, a non-profit organization that provides farm animals and training in their care to needy families all over the world.llama

Our young readers raised funds by getting sponsors and collecting donations for their reading. For each book read, the children received money from their sponsors to put toward the Read to Feed purchases. At our Read to Feed Celebration, the children decided which particular animals/plants they wanted to buy for these families. With the money raised, the children purchased a llama, chickens, rabbits, honey bees, and tree seedlings for families in need. Good job and congratulations to everyone who helped to make this reading incentive and service learning project a success!
